Forgotten Cats
I love cats. In my life I have been involved with well over 60 cats either through my own pets or through helping with strays or rescues. My involvement started when was just a young kid and before I was 10 our family had 13 cats. So, you can see I became a crazy cat lady at a very young age. Currently I have just 3 cats, which is a very low amount considering the last 10 years. All my cats have been strays and I do what I can to support the various rescue organizations in Houston.
Why this review?
I want to feature some special cats who are currently in the rescue organizations in our city. By showing them here perhaps they will reach someone who might not come across them any other way. These cats are the forgotten ones, the old or otherwise looked over sweethearts that languish in shelters. Let's see if we can help them find forever homes.
If you are not able to adopt one yourself, perhaps you can volunteer at a local shelter. They always need help.

A Little Bit About Dallas
Dallas and I are very acquainted. I was travelling from Dallas when I spied him at a rest stop. He was very friendly, but without a cat carrier and a dog in the car, I could not bring him with me.
I called a local rescue organization whose wonderful members went to the rest stop and looked but could not find him.
Six weeks pass and I again am traveling from Dallas to Houston. This time I have a carrier with me, but I am resigned to the fact that he is not going to be there. After all, the other people looked and it has been 6 weeks.
There he was lying under a bush. I managed to convince him to let me crate him and took his now battered self with me back to Houston. Those 6 weeks had not been kind and he had lots of scratches and wounds.
The kind folk at Save a Purrfect Cat Rescue arranged for me to bring him to the vet as I arrived in town. Good thing too because that night he spiked a fever and ended up at the pet hospital for 3 days.
Now this special boy is healthy and ready for adoption.
Julie's opinion about Dallas
If I didn't already have a house full of furry children, his forever home would be with me. This is one special cat who is full of purrs and love. He loves to be held and petted and is absolutely gorgeous. You better act quickly because someone is going to scoop up this tiny tiger. He is just now being offered for adoption and you can ask about him at Save a Cat Purrfect Rescue 832-930-1228

A Little Bit About Jackie
Hi, I'm Jackie. I'm a shy gal with the most beautiful green eyes. I get along just fine even though I'm a tripod. I'm one of those special cats -- a Golden Paws. That means that you get an experienced cat that won't need any special training to know exactly what to do. I love to nap, so a nice sunny window would be perfect for me.
