Mat Review: Hugger Mugger Earth Elements 10mm

Well, this took some time and some help from yoga instructor Amy Garratt to find, but I will finally have my ultra thick, lightweight, travel mat again. The Hugger Mugger Earth Elements 10mm mat is exactly the mat you are looking for if you need some extra padding under your knees and don’t want to lug around some heavy shoulder breaker.

This mat is made from environmentally friendly TPE which is a non-toxic and biodegradable foam. The mat contains no latex, PVC or rubber, and uses no toxic materials in its production. It is a closed cell foam which means it will not absorb fluids and that makes it easy to keep clean.

It is 72 inches long by 24 inches wide and 10mm thick. It weighs just 3.35 pounds which is incredible for the thickness it offers. Could there be any downside. Well… you should not expose this mat to a hot car in sunlight because – it being biodegradable, it will start to biodegrade. So keep it in a mat bag and don’t leave it to smolder in your car and you are good to go.
